At People 2.0, we value our relationship with you and place the highest importance on respecting and protecting your privacy. We want you to feel comfortable and confident when using our products and services and with entrusting your personal, company and employee information to us.

The policy stated below discloses information gathering and dissemination practices for the website "portal.people20.net" and is part of the Agreement between you and People 2.0. The Agreement includes this Privacy Statement and the Terms of Use section of this website. By accessing this website, you accept our Privacy Statement and our Terms of Use, and you agree to the uses of your personal information described in this Privacy Statement. This Privacy Statement may be updated from time to time. This Privacy Statement does not apply to the practices of companies that People 2.0 does not own or control or to people that People 2.0 does not employ or manage. People 2.0 has created this Privacy Statement in order to demonstrate our commitment to privacy.

General Data Protection Regulation

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which went into effect May 25, 2018, creates consistent data protection rules across Europe. It applies to all companies that process personal data about individuals in the EU, regardless of where the company is based. Processing is defined broadly and refers to anything related to personal data, including how a company handles and manages data, such as collecting, storing, using and destroying data.

Data Breach

In the event of a data breach, the point of contact from People 2.0 is the Chief Legal Officer, who is also our Data Protection Officer. They will invoke the data control procedure with our Chief Technology Officer, as required. Then we will report the breach to the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of the organization becoming aware of it. We will notify affected venues within 48 hours of becoming aware of the breach.

Data Retention

At People 2.0, we’ve agreed our data retention period will be no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it was processed. This means we will delete employee data after a certain amount of years of inactivity. If you want to delete your data prior to our policy, please email privacy@people20.com. We will not retain personal information longer than necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it is processed, including the security of our processing complying with legal and regulatory obligations (e.g. audit, accounting and statutory retention terms), handling disputes, and for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims in the countries where we do business.

Security

We work to protect your personal information from loss, misuse or unauthorized alteration by using industry-standard security safeguards, coupled with security procedures and practices. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with applicable laws and standards. We use both internal and external resources to review our security procedures. Access to security logs are strictly controlled within our development team, we follow advice from Microsoft as to when security patches should be applied, and we use software to monitor for unauthorized intrusion attempts. Your sensitive information is encrypted when it is transmitted to us. Our employees are trained and required to safeguard your information. Although People 2.0 employs extensive efforts to maintain security, we cannot guaranty that your contact information will not be intercepted by third parties' illegal efforts. It is your responsibility to maintain the privacy of your username and password. Unauthorized use of your registered account with us will enable access to personal information. Please keep your username and password in a safe and secure place. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password or other form of authentication involved in accessing People 2.0’s applications. In order to protect you and your information, People 2.0 may suspend your use of a website without notice, pending an investigation, if any security breach is suspected.

Personal information we collect

We collect personal information from you and any devices (including mobile devices) you use when you: use our Services, register for an account with us, provide us information on a web form, update or add information to your account, or when you otherwise correspond with us.

Through Your Browser: When you browse our Site, your IP address (the Internet address of your computer) is recorded so that we may know how you are using our Site.
